Signature workflow quickstart
Add a signing workflow to a Google Form and follow the request through completion.

Send a request through the people who need to sign it. A workflow gives each person a role, preserves the order of the signing tasks and lets the owner see what remains pending.
Prepare a simple process
Start with two roles, such as Employee followed by Manager. Use a short form you can edit and synthetic details for the initial check. Decide who initiates the response and how the manager's address will be supplied.
Configure the workflow
Import the form
On Signature workflow, choose Try it free. Paste the Google Forms link or use Browse. The default screen makes a copy; choose Edit my existing form when that is your intended source behavior. Select Add workflow.
Name the signers
In To be signed by, review the Respondent row and enter each additional signer designation / role. Check that the roles describe the actual people who must act.
Set the order
Put the roles in the required sequence. For an existing stage, More options offers Move up and Move down. Select Next after reviewing the complete list.
Choose how to request signatures
Request signature via offers Link or Email. Link is useful for checking the flow before sending invitations. Review the actual recipient addresses when preparing an emailed request.
Check both sides of the handoff
Open the respondent link and complete the first task with synthetic information. Then inspect the next signer task and the owner's response view. Check that the second person sees the correct information and that the request remains pending until the required actions finish.
Inspect the final record and any configured Drive or email output. Setting up an email does not prove delivery; check the actual invitation and completed copy in your test.
Continue the setup
Use signer assignment for recipient mapping, signing order for sequential stages, and progress tracking for pending requests. Add optional or conditional behavior only after the basic two-person flow is working.
