The Google Forms add-on is a starting point for adding Formesign to a form you already maintain in Google Forms. It connects that source to the Formesign signing experience and its response-management tools.
Open the right form and account
Open the Google Form in an account that can edit it. If your organization manages Workspace add-ons, check that Formesign is available to that account. An administrator's restriction can prevent installation or authorization even when you can view the form.
Use the current Formesign Marketplace listing to find the add-on. Open it from Google Forms' add-ons control after installation. The Google UI and organization policy determine which installation and permission prompts you see.
Configure the signing form
Follow the Formesign setup for the selected source. Review the signature experience and where the field appears. Current signature setup distinguishes a drawn Simple signature from a Verified signature that uses Google sign-in and includes name and email.
After setup, use the Formesign link provided for respondents. A signature-backed field in Google Forms may appear as a text field storing a signature reference; this does not make the native Google Forms responder page a drawn-signature interface.
Preview and confirm the destination
Open the sharing link as a respondent. Confirm that it displays the intended questions and the signature interaction. If you maintain multiple versions or copies, check the form title and response destination before collecting real submissions.
Find a sample response in Formesign and inspect its signature. If the form is configured to submit to Google Forms or a linked Sheet, inspect that destination too. Configure Drive filing and email copies separately rather than assuming installation enables every output.
Troubleshoot access
If the add-on does not open, verify the signed-in account and whether the organization permits the add-on. If the form is available in Google Forms but not in Formesign, check ownership and requested permissions. Avoid sharing a private form publicly to bypass an access problem.
You can also begin from the web import flow, which offers a copy or edit-existing choice. Keep the source behavior explicit whichever starting point you use. For a separate manager or staff signing task, continue with Signature workflow.
