Main Formesign quickstart
Create a small signature form, review the signing experience, and find its completed record.

Use a demonstration form to learn the full loop before collecting real requests. This example is a simple equipment request with a name, email, equipment description and one signature. It is a practice workflow; use your approved wording for production agreements or consent documents.
Before you begin
Have access to the Google account that will own the form. Use fictional answers while checking the setup. If you start from an existing Google Form, decide whether to import a copy or edit the existing form.
Create and review the form
- Open Create a signature form. From the dashboard, select Create new form to reach the same chooser.
- Select Enter your form name. Enter a specific name such as “Equipment request — documentation demo” and choose Generate.
- Review the generated outline. Keep only the questions needed for this example. Confirm the signer role and signature field; generated content needs your review.
- Open the resulting form in the editor. Check field labels, required questions, email mapping and any generated descriptions. Follow Build and edit for changes.
If you already have a suitable form, use the Form signature quickstart instead of generating one. For a document, use Document signature.
Check what the signer sees
Open Preview and complete the questions with fictional details. Check the signature mode: Simple signature lets the signer draw directly; Verified signature uses Google sign-in to supply identity details. Do not assume a typed-signature option is available in every form.
Read every description and confirm that the signer can understand what they are signing. Then open the shared link in a separate browser context to check the actual access requirement. Preview alone does not prove that an external signer can open the request.
Set the record destinations
Before distributing the link, configure the required email copies and Google Drive output. If you need tabular answers, set up the intended Google Sheets connection.
Submit a practice response only when you are ready for the configured notifications and output. Find that same response in the workspace and check the signed record. With a multi-step workflow, final signed-PDF generation can wait for all required signatures.
Ready for real use
Replace the practice wording, remove unintended recipients, and confirm the shared link and Google permissions. Use the signer guide to explain the recipient's task. Add a signature workflow when another person needs a separate invitation or action.
