Quick Answer
How do I sign a Formesign request?
Open the link or the Review & sign button in your email. Fill in the fields, then click or draw in the signature box. The date fills in automatically. Click Submit and wait for Your response has been recorded. You don't need a Formesign account. If you're asked to sign in, use your Google account.
You can send this page to anyone who's been asked to sign. They don't need a Formesign account.
If you're the first signer
Open the link
Open the link you were sent. You'll see the name of the organization asking, and the form. Check that it's what you expected.
Fill it in and sign
Answer the questions and click NEXT to move through the pages. In the signature box, draw with your mouse or finger. Clear lets you start again. The date fills in by itself.
Name the next signer, if asked
If someone signs after you, you'll be asked for their email. Enter it and click Proceed.
Wait for the confirmation
You're done when you see Your response has been recorded.
If you were emailed a request
The email's subject names your role and the request. Click Review & sign.
The earlier answers are shown so you can read them, but you can't change them. Click NEXT, fill in your part, sign, and click SUBMIT.
Signing a PDF
If you're signing a document that keeps its original layout, you'll follow four steps across the top: Read, Fill, Review, and Submit. Boxes for other signers are greyed out, with a label such as To be signed by Manager.
Coming back later
Formesign saves your answers as you go, on the same browser. When you reopen the link, you'll see this:
Your signature only counts once you've submitted. If you reopen a form you've already submitted, you'll see This was submitted N minutes ago. You are editing #1.
Use the link in your email
A request emailed to you is tied to that request. Opening the general form link instead starts a new, separate response.
Getting your signed copy
Who gets a copy, and when, is up to the organization that sent the request. Other people may still need to sign. If you need a copy, ask them. Keep the PDF exactly as you receive it: editing or re-saving it means verification will no longer pass.
